Have you ever heard of the butterfly effect? A small action can generate a huge change; that is how we can summarize the idea behind this concept. The term was introduced in 1972 by the mathematician Edward Lorenz in his study entitled "Predictability: does the flap of a butterfly's wings in Brazil set off a tornado in Texas?". According to his research, very small variations in the initial conditions of a system can cause, in the long term, enormous variations within the system itself. In the same way, our choices can also have a huge impact on what surrounds us. Today, our planet needs us, and we must stop believing that our daily actions cannot change the ordinary course of things.
